According to CEO, Kevin Miller, Georgia has become a key fan base for the magazine and is full of spectator events throughout the year that are a natural fit for tailgating and tailgaters. “We have great advertisers in the magazine based in Georgia and a large portion of our new reader- ship has grown significantly in the state of Georgia and particularly during football season over the past 3 years. There is a great following throughout the state as well for high school football, but it seems that much of the press focuses coverage on the largest class in the state, AAAAA. Through the urging of many readers and a commitment from sports reporters from around the state that cover the smaller classifications, we have been able to pool enough resources to for- mulate an annual Georgia High School Class AAAA All-State Football Team. We hope this is the first of what will eventually become an annual tradition of naming an All-State team giving very deserving, student-athletes some of the same coverage that the athletes from the biggest school districts enjoy.”
