times each month and they really hold.”
The bars are available in one model. The
full-size, five foot bar comes complete with
the roof, decorative tiki corner caps, carrying
case and everything, and assembles in about
10 minutes. It retails for $650, and standard
shipping costs $150. Plus, you can connect
three together with an optional corner piece

TAKING IT
TIKI
Tailgate Central got the tiki treatment at Super 'Gate II
AS FLORIDIANS AND PARROTHEADS,
Andy, Adrian and Rock know a thing or two
about taking a party to a whole new latitude.
These mild-mannered guys work with
computers all week, then tailgate with a “have
sand, will party” approach at Predators, Bucs,
Jags, and UCF games. They also moonlight
as the dedicated cyberjournalists behind
RumReviews.com, so it’s not surprising that it
only took a couple of rum and cokes to come
up with the idea behind MobileTikiBar.com.
“We all had season tickets, and were doing
the normal tailgate thing, but we wanted a
way to kick it up a notch,” says Andy. The
trick was coming up with a full-sized tiki bar
that would fit into the trunk of their Hyundai
Elantra, along with coolers, chairs, and a
grill.
They’ve been through 4 different designs,
starting out with wood and moving to
the current PVC which is lighter and more
compact. So light and compact, in fact, that
they actually took one on a plane up to a
Penn State tailgate. “They’re really sturdy,”
says Andy. “We rent them out for parties and
events, and the rental units get used a few
Andy says “I think it’s a cool way to draw
attention and bring a nice, chill atmosphere
to your tailgate party — which is what we
always try to do.”
And we have to agree. MobileTikiBar.com
rolled out six of their bars, along with bags
of sand, tropical plants, and beach chairs at
Super ‘Gate II and instantly became party
central. They gave the event a fun, festive
feel and everyone wanted to pose for pictures
at the bars. Add to that the unique and
distinctive rums that the boys pulled out from
time to time throughout the weekend, and
let’s just say they created the perfect place
for “wasting away.”
